Scrappy Sewcial Friday 4th April - Continuous Bias Binding

A monthly event, the 'Scrappy Sewcial' is a loosely taught workshop with ideas and techniques on using fabric scraps. 

This month I'll show you how to make continuous bias binding - a very handy technique that allows you to make long lengths of bias binding from smaller pieces of fabric. I have fabric here for you to use, but feel free to bring your own if there is some you'd like to use. It'll need to be a woven polycotton or pure cotton such as quilting cotton, poplin or lawn.

This project that is suitable for any level.

The session takes place on Friday 7th March 10.30am-12.30pm in my little workshop 'Making Space' in central Ulverston at Catkin & Scraps. All materials are included, though you are welcome to bring your own scraps if you'd like. 

The group is loosely tutored - which means I will be showing you how to do things and helping you, but also running the shop and serving customers. 

Basic sewing supplies are available to use but feel free to bring your own if you have them to avoid waiting to use common items such as fabric scissors etc.

There are only four spaces available so it's wise to book ahead to secure your place, which you can do via this listing or in person at the Ulverston shop.

Once booked, if you change your mind or circumstances mean that you can no longer come, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations less than a full day ahead and no-shows will not be refunded.

The workshop is fairly accessible, but if you have any special requirements as far as access or seating goes please do get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
